Rimtel is tucked away in Shivaji Nagar, near Ganesh Nagar 31. It is a busy area and the shop is quite small. We deal with a lot of phones and recharge cards every day. The counter is always covered with little tools and tiny screws from opening up mobile handsets. People come in when their screens are cracked or when their battery won't hold a charge anymore. It's noisy because we are so close to the main street where the buses go by. We spend a lot of time explaining to people why their data isn't working or how to reset their passwords. Sometimes the shop feels cramped with three or four people waiting inside. We have a small stool for customers, but most just stand and chat while we work. The walls used to be blue but they have faded over the years. We keep a stash of old cables in a cardboard box under the table just in case someone needs an old charger. It gets dusty because of the construction nearby, so we have to wipe the glass cases every morning. We get our lunch from the small hotel down the road. Most of our regulars are people who live in the neighborhood and have known us for years. We aren't a big showroom, just a place where you can get your phone sorted out without much fuss. It keeps us busy enough throughout the week, and we usually stay late to finish repairs.
