Our shop is right there in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, specifically at the Mithakali Six Road junction. If you know the HMT Ground bus stop, we are basically right across from it. Being near a bus stop means there is always a lot of movement and noise outside our doors, but we have gotten used to it over the years. Inside, it’s mostly just us and the furniture. We carry different types of stuff for homes, like chairs and cupboards and beds that people need for their houses. It’s a bit crowded in the showroom because we try to keep enough stock so people can actually see what they are buying. We spend most of the day moving things around or talking to folks who stop by after getting off the bus. Some days are slow and we just spend time cleaning the dust off the tables, while other days everyone seems to come in at once wanting to look at sofas. We don't really do the big fancy advertisements you see elsewhere. Most people just see our sign while they are waiting for their bus and decide to pop in. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for us. We just keep the doors open and help whoever walks in find something that fits their room. It is just us here most days, working away in this corner of the city and keeping the place going.
