Rice Empire

You can find us over at No 342 on MG Road in Muthyalpet. It is a busy part of town, and we are right in the middle of it. The name might sound a bit big, but we are just a local operation doing our daily work. The space we have is used mostly for storage and handling the different varieties that come through our doors. It gets pretty loud outside with all the cars and bikes on MG Road, but once you step inside, it is all about the grain. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know the routine. The shelves are usually stacked high, and we spend a lot of time moving things around to make room for new arrivals. Muthyalpet is a place where everyone seems to be in a hurry, but we try to keep a steady pace. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a regular storefront that has seen a lot of years. We deal with the logistics of getting things from one place to another. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the back door, but we've learned to work around it. It is just a practical business run by people who have lived here for a long time. We don't use fancy computers for everything; sometimes a notebook works just as well for keeping track of what goes out and what stays.
