Reesha Furnitures

Our shop is tucked away in Farhath Plaza over in Shivaji Nagar. If you walk into number 17, you will probably smell the wood shavings and the polish right away. We spend most of our days moving heavy wooden chairs and tables around to make some space for the new things we have just finished. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in here because we try to fit as much as we can onto the floor for people to see. We don't have those big bright lights like the expensive showrooms in the city center, we just use the lights we have. Most of the furniture is made right here or brought in from some workshops nearby. There is usually a bit of dust on the surfaces because we are always sanding something or working in the back room. My hands are usually a bit rough from handling the wood and the tools all day, but that is just part of it. We have had this spot for a while now and most of our customers are just regular folks from around Shivaji Nagar who need a new bed or a cupboard for their house. We don't do any of that fancy sales talk, we just show you what we have and tell you what wood it is. Sometimes we help load things onto a rickshaw outside, which can be a bit of a workout in the heat. It is a simple business and we like it.
