Our office is located at 6/1-9/2 Taverekere Modi Street in the Fort area. It’s an old part of town with a lot of history in the buildings. Recruitment Brains & Consulting Services is tucked into one of these spaces. The walls are thick and the windows are high, so it stays relatively cool even when it’s hot on Modi Street. We spend most of our time looking at resumes and talking to people on the phone. It’s a lot of listening, really. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many files and old desks. We’ve talked about getting new furniture, but these old wooden tables are sturdy and they do the job. There’s a tea stall just a few steps away, and that’s where we get most of our energy from. Working in the Fort area means you’re always surrounded by the hustle of the city. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a person in a suit greeting you. You just walk in and one of us will look up from a computer. It’s a very direct way of working. We don't use much corporate speak because it feels fake. We just talk like normal people and try to help where we can. It’s a bit of a grind sometimes, but we like the honesty of the work we do here. There is always a pile of papers to sort through.
