Rathna Stores

Our shop, Rathna Stores, is tucked away at 41548 Bandimudu Street on Avenue Road. Now, if you know Avenue Road, you know it’s one of the busiest places you can find. It’s a constant rush of people and carts and noise. Our little spot on Bandimudu Street is where we keep all our stock. We’ve been here for a very long time, through all the changes the city has seen. The building is old and it has a lot of character, which basically means the walls are a bit uneven and the floors creak. We don’t mind it though. We deal in books and stationery and whatever else we’ve managed to fit on the shelves over the years. It’s a bit of a family-style environment here. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the flashiest store in Bangalore. We just want to provide what the locals need. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes you have to move a box to see what’s behind it. It’s a bit of a workout just navigating the aisles sometimes. We keep things simple. No complicated systems or polished uniforms. We just know our books and we know our customers. If you’re brave enough to face the traffic on Avenue Road, come find us on Bandimudu Street. We’ll be here sorting through the latest stack of arrivals.
