Rasa Restaurant & Caterers

Our place is on Sampige Road in Malleswaram, right at the 1st Cross. It’s a very busy part of town, especially being so close to Sampige Theatre. You can hear the traffic and the people all day long. Rasa Restaurant & Caterers is tucked into No.30, and it’s been there for quite a bit. Malleswaram has a certain way about it, very traditional and always bustling. We try to keep up with that energy. The restaurant side keeps us busy during lunch and dinner, while the catering side is a whole different kind of work. We’re often juggling both at once. It can get pretty cramped when we have a big catering order to send out while people are trying to sit down for a meal. The kitchen staff is always moving. We don't really have a fancy philosophy or anything. We just buy the vegetables from the local market and get to cooking. The building is older, with high ceilings and walls that have seen a lot of steam over the years. We’ve had to fix the plumbing more times than I can count, but that’s just part of being in an old neighborhood. People come in because they know where we are and they know what to expect. It’s a noisy, busy, and sometimes messy business, but we’ve been doing it a long time now and it's what keeps us going every day.
