Ramesh Provision Store

Ramesh Provision Store is located at number 408 on Karl Main Road, right in the heart of Rajankunte. We have been here for a good while. We have customers from all the blocks nearby. The shop is pretty basic. It has wooden shelves that we built ourselves a long time ago. We stock the usual stuff like dal, oil, and soap. These are mostly things people realize they forgot to buy at the bigger market. Being on the main road means there is always noise from the buses passing by. We have gotten used to it over the years. We usually have a few crates of soda sitting out front. Some snacks hang from the ceiling hooks. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. This is especially true if someone is buying a whole sack of flour. My brother and I take turns behind the counter. We mostly just chat with the folks who have lived here as long as we have. We don't have a computer. There is just a notebook where we keep track of what needs ordering for next week. Sometimes the power goes out. We have to use candles then. It makes the shop look completely different. It's just a simple life here in Rajankunte. We keep the store open and make sure the jars are full. We don't bother with fancy displays. We just put items where they can be reached.
