National Chicken Centre

Our shop is right on Sirur Park Road in Jayanagar, number 320. It is a busy street and there is always something going on outside. We get here early in the morning to get everything ready before the neighborhood wakes up properly. Being near the park means we see a lot of people out for their morning walks while we are setting up the stalls and getting the stock in. It is a straightforward business, mostly just handling the daily supply and making sure the customers get what they need for their kitchens. The floor stays wet because we are constantly cleaning up throughout the day with the hose. We have regular customers who have been coming to this part of Jayanagar for years and they often stop to chat for a minute. It is not a quiet job, there is always the sound of traffic and people talking over the counter. We keep the scales moving and try to keep things organized despite the rush. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the doorway when people are waiting for their orders. We don't really do much advertising, word of mouth around the local blocks seems to work fine enough for us. The afternoon heat can be a bit much sometimes but we have the big fans going to keep the air moving. It is just a regular local shop where we put in the hours every day and try to keep things simple. We close up once the stock is finished and then start again tomorrow.
