Rama Ironnsteel

At Rama Ironnsteel, our yard is always full of heavy metal rods and steel sheets. We are located at 48/3, Kudlu Main Road, which is just off the Hosur Main Road in Basavanagar. Being near the TVS Godown on Carter Road Number 7 helps people find us. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel because of the heavy trucks coming in to load and unload. It's a rough environment and our clothes are usually stained with rust or grease. We spend our time counting inventory and helping customers pick out the right gauge of steel. It’s not a clean job. When the sun is out, the metal gets very hot to the touch. We use cranes and manual labor to move things around. Sometimes the yard gets so full that it's hard to move a vehicle through. We don't have a fancy reception area. Usually, the business happens right there in the middle of the stacks of iron. We’ve been at this Kudlu Main Road location for quite a while now. The neighbors are used to the clanging sounds of metal hitting metal. It starts early and ends when it gets dark. We keep things simple and just focus on getting the weight right on the scales. There’s no big philosophy behind it. We just sell iron and steel to whoever needs it for their construction or workshop. It’s a heavy, honest trade.
