Rajalakshmi Steels & Appliances

Our shop, Rajalakshmi Steels & Appliances, is located at number 732 on 12th Main in Rajajinagar 3rd Block. It’s a pretty established neighborhood and we have been on this street for quite some time. The shop is filled with the sound of metal clinking together as we move pots, pans, and cookers around. We have stainless steel stacked up almost to the ceiling in some parts. It takes a bit of effort to keep everything organized so we can find what a customer is looking for. The 12th Main road is usually busy with cars and people going to the nearby markets. We spend our time showing people the different sizes of vessels or explaining how a particular stove works. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy boxes and arranging the display out front every morning. The floor is hard and our backs sometimes ache by the end of the day, but it’s part of the job. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know us from the neighborhood and come in when they need something new for their kitchen. Sometimes we have old customers who come back after years to replace something they bought from us a long time ago. We just keep the shop open and wait for the next person to walk through the door, ready to help them find a good steel pot or a new tawa.
