You can find Raj Mobile Care at 105 Silver Jubilee Park Road. It’s a small shop in a very crowded part of the city. There are always people walking by and scooters parked everywhere on the pavement. Inside the shop, we have a long counter where we work on all sorts of mobile phones. There are tiny screws and pieces of glass everywhere because we are always taking things apart. It’s not a very big space, so we have to keep everything tucked into drawers and boxes. The air smells a bit like solder and plastic. I usually have a magnifying lamp pulled down low over the bench. We don't have a big fancy showroom; it’s mostly just shelves with spare screens and batteries. Silver Jubilee Park Road is always noisy, with people shouting and horns blaring, but it’s a good place to be. We’ve been in this spot for several years now. Most of the day I’m hunched over a workbench trying to fix a cracked screen or a charging port. Sometimes I take a break and stand by the door just to watch the crowd go by. We don't put on any acts here; it’s just me and a couple of others doing our work. It’s a bit messy with cables tangled up behind the counter, but we know where every tool is when we need it. We close up when the street lights come on and the traffic finally starts to thin out.
