Raghu Mart

You can find Raghu Mart at 18/463 in Shanthi Nagar, which is part of the Ragi Gudda area. It is a small shop, the kind you find on many corners in this neighborhood. We don't have those bright fluorescent lights or the wide aisles you see in the big supermarkets in the city. Instead, it’s a bit cramped with shelves reaching up to the ceiling, packed with all the things people nearby might need in a hurry. Shanthi Nagar is a lived-in place, and we see the same faces every single day. Some come in for a single packet of biscuits, others for their weekly supplies. We spend a lot of time just organizing the stock and making sure nothing is gathering too much dust. The front of the mart is where we spend most of our time, talking to neighbors and keeping an eye on the street. Ragi Gudda has a specific rhythm to it, with people heading out to work in the morning and coming back as the sun sets. We stay open late because that is when most people realize they forgot something for dinner. It’s not a fancy job, but it is a busy one. We keep the ledgers by hand sometimes and use a simple calculator for the rest. It is just a local mart doing its thing for the folks living on this street. We like the neighborhood well enough.
