R S A Steel & Wood Furnitures is located in MSR Nagar, right near the Kempaia Hospital. If you walk past our place, you’ll probably see some sawdust on the ground or hear the sound of someone welding metal. We aren't a big showroom with air conditioning and fancy lights. This is a workshop where we actually make things with our hands. We work with both wood and steel because people need different things for their homes and shops. Some days we are building sturdy steel racks for a warehouse, and other days we are finishing a wooden table for someone’s dining room. It’s a bit messy inside with scraps of material and tools scattered around, but that’s how we work best. We don't have a catalog of items to choose from. Usually, someone comes in with a rough idea or a drawing they made, and we talk about how to build it. It’s more about making things that last rather than things that just look pretty for a few months. The guys here have been doing this for years, so they know how to handle the machines. We get our hands dirty every single day. It’s hard labor, and it gets hot in the shop during the summer, but we like seeing a finished piece go out the door. We just keep our heads down and get the orders done for our neighbors in MSR Nagar.
