R N Furniture is tucked away over in Richmond Town at 716. We are near where the old Novino Batteries place is, so that’s usually how people find us if they get lost. It is a bit of a busy area but we like it here. We spend most of our time dealing with wood, fabric, and whatever else goes into making a decent chair or a table that won't wobble. The shop is often dusty because that is just how it goes when you’re working with furniture all day. We have some ready-made stuff sitting around but a lot of what we do is just talking to people about what they need for their homes. If someone needs a cupboard fixed or a new bed frame, we look at it. It’s not some big showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workspace where things actually get built and moved around. My hands are usually a bit dirty from the varnish or the sawdust. We’ve been at this for a long time now. Some days are quiet and we just organize the tools. Other days it feels like everyone in Richmond Town needs a new stool at the same time. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle a hammer and a saw. We just try to make things that last.
