We run R K Overseas Consultants Inc from our office at 884 in the Indira Nagar area, near Shanti Nagar in Goregaon West. It is a bit of a busy neighborhood, and there are always people passing by. Our days are mostly spent helping people figure out their travel plans or the paperwork needed for going abroad. It involves a lot of reading through forms and checking requirements, which can be a bit dry, but someone has to do it. The office is a bit cluttered with folders and files, and we have a map on the wall that is probably a bit out of date. We do not have a big marketing budget or a shiny website that does everything for us. Most people come to us because a friend told them we helped them out before. It is a small operation, just a few of us sitting at desks and trying to make sense of all the rules and regulations. Sometimes the printer jams right when we need it most, which is always annoying, but we manage. We try to be honest with people about how long things will take, even if it is not what they want to hear. The tea shop around the corner is where we usually take our breaks during the afternoon. It is a simple way to spend the work week, helping folks get where they need to go without making things more complicated than they are.
