R K Metal Finishers

R K Metal Finishers is based out of 146 Viswaneedam. If you come by the shop you will see us working on whatever has come in for the day. Viswaneedam is a decent area to work out of and we have grown fond of the surroundings. We have got the machines set up in a way that makes sense to us even if it looks a bit messy to anyone walking in from the street. There is always a bit of grease and metal filings on the floor no matter how much we clean. We sweep up every evening before locking up but by ten the next morning it is back to how it was. R K Metal Finishers is where we spend most of our waking hours. We don't really do much besides the work itself. We have some old ceiling fans that hum all day to keep the air moving. It gets very stuffy in the afternoons otherwise. 146 is the number painted on the front door. People stop by sometimes just to chat or ask for directions to the next block. We know the neighbors pretty well since they have been here as long as we have. Most of them are doing similar industrial work. We bring our lunches in steel boxes and eat together when we can find a spare minute. Sometimes we just eat while we work if the orders are piling up. It isn't a fancy setup but it is ours. We just focus on finishing the metal parts that come through. Every day is the same cycle.
