Purushottam Provision Stores

Giri Nagar is a nice area, specifically around 1st Main and 5th Cross in Bovipalaya. Our shop, Purushottam Provision Stores, sits at number 23. It’s a tight space, packed with bags of rice, lentils, and all the small things people need for their kitchens. Every morning starts with the milk delivery. Then it's just a steady stream of neighbors coming in for a kilo of sugar or some soap. We know most of the families around here by name. We’ve seen their kids grow up and start coming in on their own. The shelves are wooden and a bit worn out now. There’s always a faint smell of spices in the air, which I’ve grown to like. Sometimes the Mahalakshmi Layout traffic makes it hard for the supply trucks to reach us, so we have to carry things from the main road. It keeps us moving. I don’t use a computer for the billing, just a pen and a notebook. It’s faster for me that way. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, making a clicking sound that you eventually stop noticing. We don’t do any advertising. People know where we are. If the power goes out, we just light a few candles and keep going. It’s just a regular provision store run by regular people. We stay open late for those who forget things on their way home. We've had the same scale for years and it still works just fine. If a bag breaks, we just double it up. It's not fancy.
