Our office is on the first floor of KVS Nilaya, which is located at 13/4 Kalasipalyam 3rd Main Road. If you know Kalasipalyam, you know it’s the heart of the transport business in this city, so it’s always loud and full of dust. We’ve got trucks moving in and out at all hours, and the 3rd Main Road is usually jammed with vehicles. Our space in KVS Nilaya is mostly filled with logbooks, stacks of receipts, and a few old chairs for the drivers to sit on while they wait for their next assignment. Punjab Trans Corportion has been running from this spot for quite a while now. We don't have a big corporate setup; it's just a few of us handling the phones and making sure the loads are going where they’re supposed to go. Sometimes the schedules get messed up because of traffic or a breakdown, and we have to spend hours on the phone trying to fix it. It’s not the kind of job where you sit still for very long. The office walls are a bit stained from the city air, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound that we’ve stopped noticing. Most of our work is done through word of mouth and long-standing relationships with people in the industry. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. We just focus on the trucks and the cargo, making sure everything keeps moving through the 3rd Main Road as smoothly as the traffic allows us to.
