P.S. Book Centre

P.S. Book Centre sits at Plot No-51 in the PS Building. We are right on Avenue Road, which is one of the busiest places you can imagine. Our shop is directly opposite the Rice Memorial Church, so that makes it easier for people to find us in all the chaos. We are also quite close to the District Magistrate and the City Market area. Because of where we are, there is always a crowd outside and the sound of the city never really stops. Inside, the shop is packed with books of all kinds. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes we need a ladder just to reach the top ones. It’s a bit of a maze in here with all the different sections. We spend most of our time helping people find what they need or organizing new stock that arrives. The PS Building is an old place, and we’ve been here for a good while now. Being near the church means we see a lot of people passing by on their way to other things. It’s a very central spot, which is good but also means it stays very dusty from the road. We try to keep things in order, but with so many books, it’s a constant battle. We like the energy of the market and being part of the history on Avenue Road. It’s just how we operate.
