Books International

Books International is at Door No- 281-D on 10th Main in Jayanagar 5th Block. We are right near the 40th Cross. Jayanagar is a really pleasant neighborhood with a lot of greenery, though the traffic on 10th Main has definitely gotten worse lately. Our office is in a fairly old building, and it has a very lived-in feel to it. We don't have any shiny glass walls or modern art. It is just shelves, desks, and a lot of boxes of books. We mostly focus on distribution, so we spend a lot of time packing and unpacking crates. It is physical work and can be quite tiring. There are only a few of us here, and we have all been doing this for a long time. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. We usually just wear whatever is comfortable for moving boxes around. The neighbors are nice and we often see the same people walking their dogs or going to the market every morning. Sometimes we leave the door open to get a bit of a breeze, even if the road is a bit noisy. We aren't a big chain, just a small local operation that has found its place in Jayanagar. We don't do much in the way of marketing. We just fulfill our orders and try to keep things organized, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. It is a good way to spend the day.
