We are B I Puclication Pvt. Ltd. and our office is located on Infantry Road in Shivaji Nagar. We are right opposite the Police Commissioner Office, which makes us very easy to find. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, so there’s always a lot of noise from the street. Our office is filled with stacks of books and manuscripts because that’s what we do. We spend our time editing, checking proofs, and dealing with printers. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly sitting at desks and staring at pages for hours. The building is a bit older, and the elevator sometimes has a mind of its own. We’ve been here in Bangalore Gpo area for a long time. People often stop by thinking we’re a bookstore, but we’re more on the publishing side of things. It gets quite chaotic when a new project is finishing up. We don't have a fancy reception area with coffee machines. It’s just a place where work gets done. Most of us have been working together for years, so we have our own way of doing things. The traffic on Infantry Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, but we’re used to it by now. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the books out. The tea stall down the street is where we get our mid-day break. There are boxes of old journals in the hallway that we keep meaning to move to the basement. It’s just the way things pile up over the years.
