Peenya Industrial Area is a tough place to work if you don't like noise. Our workshop, Prithvi Fabrications Pvt Ltd, is located at 189 in the 3rd Phase, right on the corner of 11th Main and 2nd Cross. It’s a big area, and it’s easy to get lost if you aren't looking for the landmarks. We deal with all sorts of fabrication jobs here. The machines are old but they still do the job. We keep them oiled and running. There’s always a smell of welding and cut metal in the shop. It’s what we’re used to. We start early, usually before the sun gets too hot, because the tin roof makes it warm inside by noon. We’ve got a small crew. Most of us live nearby and walk or ride a bike to get here. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. Most people just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign at the gate. Sometimes we have to redo a piece because the measurements were a hair off, and that’s just how it goes. We don't hide our mistakes; we just fix them and move on. The floor is concrete and always has a bit of oil on it. It’s an industrial life, but it’s what we know. Being in the 3rd Phase means we are surrounded by other shops doing similar things, so there’s always a sense of everyone just trying to get through the day.
