Prakash Iron Steel & Cement

Our place is at 19 Virgo Nagar on NAC Road, right across from the SBI Bank. Being opposite a bank is actually pretty handy for people giving directions. We deal with iron, steel, and cement, so the place is always a bit dusty and there is usually a truck or two parked nearby. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and managing inventory. We spend most of the day coordinating deliveries and making sure the right materials are ready for whoever needs them. It’s hard work and it isn’t always clean, but it’s what we do. The road outside, NAC Road, gets quite busy with commercial traffic. We’ve got a small office area where we handle the bills and talk to customers who drop in. Most of the time, we are out on the floor or near the entrance. Cement bags can be heavy, and the steel rods take up a lot of space, so we have to stay organized. It’s a straightforward business. We don't have any polished sales pitches or anything like that. People just come in because they need supplies for their construction projects. We’ve seen plenty of houses go up in the Virgo Nagar area using materials from our yard. It feels good to see the stuff we sell being used to build the neighborhood. It’s just a regular day-to-day grind for us here, making sure the orders are right and the trucks are moving as they should.
