We run our catering from 2848 Sri Sai Chaya, which is in the 13th Main E Block, 2nd Stage of Rajajinagar. We are quite close to the Gayathri Nagar Post Office. If you walk past our place in the morning, you will definitely smell the spices and the rice cooking. It’s a busy kitchen, not a fancy office. There are huge stainless steel vessels everywhere and sacks of onions piled up in the corner. We started this in Bangalore because we enjoy feeding people. It’s hard work waking up at four in the morning to start the stoves. The floor is usually a bit damp from washing the vegetables, and there’s always a lot of shouting back and forth between the cooks. We don't have a polished website or a team of managers. It is mostly just the family and some regular helpers we have known for years. Sometimes we run out of a certain spice and someone has to run to the local market quickly. We handle small family gatherings and some larger ones too. Rajajinagar is a great place to be because the people here appreciate good food. We don't use any secret recipes, just the stuff our mothers taught us. It’s hot and sweaty in the kitchen, but when the food tastes right, we feel good. It is just a simple catering business trying to do honest work for the local folks who need a meal.
