You can find Prahalada Furniture Works over in Banashankari 1st Stage. It is a real workshop, so don’t expect a shiny showroom with air conditioning. We have wood shavings on the floor and the smell of polish in the air most days. It’s a place where we actually make things. We have been in this part of Banashankari for a long time now. Most of the people who come to us are neighbors or people who have heard about us from a friend. We don’t do any big advertising. Our work is mostly done by hand with regular tools. It takes time to get things right, and we don't like to rush. The shop is a bit crowded with timber and half-finished chairs or tables. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We handle all sorts of furniture jobs, from fixing an old cupboard to making a new bed frame. We aren't a big factory. It’s just a small crew of us working every day. We don't have a website or a fancy catalog. People just come in and tell us what they need. We talk about it, figure out the wood, and get to work. It is a simple way of doing business that has worked for us for years. Banashankari is a busy place, but we have our own pace here. We just like making things that people can actually use in their homes.
