Pooja Provision Stores

Pooja Provision Stores is situated on Street No-28 in the Mahadevapura area. It is a bit of a walk from the main traffic, which makes our street a little quieter than some other parts of the city. We have a variety of provisions here, mostly the kind of things people need for their daily cooking and cleaning. We have big glass jars filled with different types of biscuits and candies on the front counter, which always seem to attract the kids in the neighborhood. The shop itself is not very fancy, just some basic shelves and a tiled floor that we try to keep clean. We spend a lot of time every morning unpacking boxes and arranging the new arrivals so that everything looks decent. In Mahadevapura, people usually do their shopping in the evenings after work, so that is when we are the busiest. We might have three or four people waiting at once, all asking for different items like lentils, oil, or spices. We don't use any fancy systems here; we just keep track of things in a notebook and try to remember what our regular customers like. It is a simple life and the work can be repetitive, but we like being the place where people come for their daily needs. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, so we always keep a plastic sheet ready to cover the goods in the doorway if it starts to rain suddenly. It's just how we do things.
