Polyvynide Products Co Pvt Ltd is out in Jalahalli. We are at B-13 in the Bel Industrial Estate. It’s an old industrial area, and our building looks like it. There’s a lot of grey concrete and heavy metal doors. Inside, the machines are running most of the time. We make various plastic and vinyl items. It’s noisy and there is always a faint smell of melting material in the air. The staff here at Jalahalli mostly live nearby. We start early before the sun gets too hot. Dealing with the raw materials is heavy work. We have stacks of crates piled up near the loading dock. Sometimes the trucks don't show up on time and we just sit on the crates and talk about the local news. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you walk in, you’re likely to meet someone with grease on their hands. We’ve been at B-13 for years. The roof leaks a little when the monsoon gets really heavy, so we move the stock around to keep it dry. It’s a straightforward factory life. We produce what’s needed and send it out.
