Plyneer India

Plyneer India is based in Deepanjali Nagar at number 7/2. It is a simple, plain building that we have been using for quite some time now. When you first walk in, you are greeted by the sight of many plywood sheets leaning against almost every wall. We try our best to keep them organized by thickness and wood type, but it feels like a constant battle to keep the place looking tidy. Deepanjali Nagar is a busy neighborhood, and our particular street is certainly no exception to that rule. We often have to spend time coordinating with the delivery drivers to make sure they can park their trucks without blocking the entire road for everyone else. The office part of our space is just a tiny wooden cabin in the corner with a ceiling fan that makes a constant clicking sound when it is on. We spend a lot of our time on our feet, moving from one pile to another to check the quality of the boards. The air inside always has that faint, familiar smell of wood glue and sawdust. We do not have a very big team here, so we all know each other’s business and families pretty well. Sometimes we even have our lunch together sitting on one of the flat stacks of board. It is not a polished or fancy environment, just a place where the daily work gets done.
