Our office is over at the Manipal Centre on Dickenson Road, specifically room S-922. If you’ve ever been to this building, you know it’s a bit of a maze with all the different businesses tucked away in different corners. We’ve been here for a bit now, doing consultancy work. It basically means we spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting across from people talking through their business problems. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of paperwork. The office is a decent size, enough for our small team to keep things organized. We don’t have much in the way of decor, just the usual files and computers you’d expect. Dickenson Road is a busy part of town, so there is always some noise from the street below. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s not the kind of job that’s ever really finished; there’s always another client or another set of questions to answer. We aren't some massive firm with hundreds of employees. It’s just a handful of us trying to make sense of things for the people who walk through our door. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the Manipal Centre, with people coming and going all day. It’s a practical place to work, even if the elevators take forever sometimes. We just show up and do the work without making a big deal out of it.
