Our shop is tucked away near Infantry Road, specifically around the 11th Main and 37th B Cross in the 4th T Block. We are very close to the bus stop, which is handy for people who don't want to drive in the local traffic. When you walk inside, the first thing you notice is the smell of sawdust and wood glue. We have different kinds of timber stacked up against the walls and there is usually a project half-finished on the main workbench. We do a lot of cutting and sanding here, so it gets pretty messy throughout the day. We don't really bother with a big sign or anything flashy outside. Most people find us because they live in the neighborhood or they saw us while waiting for the bus. We spend our time fixing chairs, making cupboards, or just cutting planks to size for someone’s DIY project at home. Our tools are old but they still work well, and we spend a lot of time sharpening blades and cleaning the saws. It isn't a high-tech operation, just a lot of manual labor and paying attention to the grain of the wood. We sometimes have to tell people their order will take an extra day if the weather is too damp for the polish to dry. It’s just how we work here, taking things as they come and keeping the shop running.
