Peekay Steel Industries is located at No.477 in the Muneshwara Industrial Estate. We are part of the Peenya Second Stage, which is a massive area full of factories and workshops off Tumkur Road. Our place is basically a large shed where we cut and process steel to meet different requirements. You can hear the sound of the saws and the grinders from the street. It’s a dusty and noisy environment, but that’s what happens when you’re working with metal all day. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for a long time. There is no corporate dress code here; we wear what’s practical for the job. The office is just a corner of the building with a desk and a few chairs for visitors. We don’t spend much on making things look pretty. Our focus is strictly on the machines and the orders we have to fill. Tumkur Road is always packed with traffic, so we have to plan our deliveries carefully. It’s a tough business, and the work can be physically demanding, especially when the weather is humid. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the tasks at hand. It’s a practical way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way at this address for a long time now. It’s a simple life of hard work, and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if the shop ever went quiet.
