Pawan Steels & Cements

Our shop is located in Ramamurthy Nagar, right on the 4th Cross of Raghavendra Nagar. We’re easy to find because we are right beside Koshy Hospital on T C Palya Road. Selling steel and cement is a heavy business, and my clothes are usually covered in dust by the end of the day. We have a lot of bags of cement stacked up and various lengths of steel rods tucked into the racks. It’s a bit of a workout moving the stock around, especially when a big order comes in. We mostly serve the local builders and people doing their own home repairs around this neighborhood. It’s a busy street, so getting the delivery trucks parked can be tricky sometimes. We’ve been here for a while and know most of the people on the block. It’s not a shiny showroom; it’s a working warehouse where things get dirty. I spend a lot of time on my feet, checking the stock and talking to customers about what they need for their projects. We keep a notebook for the accounts and a phone that never stops ringing. It’s just a straightforward, honest way to make a living. We don't put on any acts here, we just provide the materials and help where we can. There is usually a stray dog napping near the cement bags, and we just leave him be while we work.
