Pavithra Condiments

Pavithra Condiments is situated at number 96 in the GIDC Estate, Ramangamdi Por area of JP Nagar. It’s an industrial estate, so there are a lot of factories around us. We provide snacks and different types of seasonings to the workers and residents nearby. The shop is small and filled with jars and packets from floor to ceiling. You have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk in. We spend a lot of our time weighing out spices and sealing bags. It’s a bit of a repetitive job, but we like the smell of the chilies and turmeric. Sometimes the spice dust makes us sneeze. We don't have any employees, just my wife and me. We've been at this spot for nearly ten years now. The building is made of concrete and stays pretty warm in the summer. We have a small fan that hums in the corner. People stop by for a quick chat while they buy their tea leaves or coffee powder. We don't have a fancy sign, just the name painted on the shutter. It's a simple life. We close up when it gets dark and walk home. We know most of our customers' kids and how they're doing in school. It’s a nice community to be part of, even if it is a bit dusty and loud with the factory machines nearby.
