If you walk down Sadar Patrappa Road, you’ll find us at number 115. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with glass cases for the phones and a small counter where I sit. SP Road is always loud and crowded, so there is never a dull moment. I spend most of my day looking through a magnifying glass at tiny circuit boards or trying to fix a screen that someone dropped. It’s tedious work and it really strains the eyes after a few hours. We carry all the usual stuff like chargers, headphones, and those plastic cases that everyone wants. Most people come in because their battery isn't holding a charge anymore or they need a new SIM card. I try to get the repairs done quickly, but sometimes the parts take a few days to arrive. It’s just me and one other guy here most of the time. We don't have fancy displays or anything. It's just a basic shop for people who need their phones fixed or want a cheap used handset. The street outside is always full of people pushing carts and bikes zipping past. Sometimes I step out just to get some air because the shop gets quite cramped with all the boxes. It's a busy life but I like being in the middle of all the action on this road. We’ve been here long enough that the regulars just wave when they pass by.
