You can find Pavan Glass over on B.V.K. Iyenger Road, right at 10 22nd Cross. It’s a crowded street, as anyone who lives around here knows. We’ve got stacks of glass everywhere—different thicknesses, some clear, some tinted. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the shop, but we know where everything is. People come in with measurements written on scraps of paper or even on their hands sometimes. We do a lot of cutting right there on the table. You have to be careful with the edges, obviously. I've been working with glass so long I don't even notice the small nicks on my fingers anymore. It’s a lot of noise with the cutting and the grinding, plus the noise from the street outside. Sometimes a delivery truck blocks the whole lane and we have to wait to unload the new sheets. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners on the cross. It’s a busy life. We handle windows, mirrors, and sometimes just small pieces for picture frames. The dust from the glass can get everywhere, so we’re always sweeping up. It’s not a glamorous place, just a workspace where we get things done. If you need a piece of glass for a table top or a broken window, this is where we do it. B.V.K. Iyenger Road is always moving, and we’re just part of that daily rush, keeping the shop open and the glass moving out.
