Patel Sanitary Ware

People usually find Patel Sanitary Ware because they saw the sign in Gnanajyothi Nagar while driving past. The shop is full of heavy things. We have rows of porcelain toilets and sinks leaning against the walls, and the back is mostly just pipes and fittings. It’s not a shiny showroom where everything is polished. There is usually a bit of dust on the boxes because we are always moving stock around. Most of the time, it’s just us and a few regular plumbers who know exactly which aisle to go to. We spend a lot of our day unloading delivery trucks or helping a neighbor figure out why their kitchen sink is leaking. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy ceramic pieces and making sure nothing chips. The floor is concrete and we have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the receipts. Sometimes the delivery guy is late and we just sit outside for a bit. We don't have a big team or fancy uniforms. It’s just an honest shop for people who need to get their plumbing fixed or their bathroom renovated. Gnanajyothi Nagar has grown quite a lot, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We like it that way. It’s just about having the right parts on the shelf when someone comes in with a problem. No big talk, just tiles and taps.
