A R K Mobile

You can find A R K Mobile over on Hennur Road in Chinchpokli. It’s a small shop, but we manage to fit a lot into the space we have. The walls are lined with all kinds of phone cases and chargers because that’s what everyone is always looking for. Most of my time is spent hunched over a tiny desk with a magnifying glass, trying to fix cracked screens or buttons that won’t click anymore. The road outside is always packed with cars and bikes, so there’s a lot of honking that leaks into the shop. I started this place after working for a bigger company because I wanted to be my own boss. It’s just me and a young guy who helps with the easy repairs. We don’t have a fancy waiting area, just a couple of plastic stools if someone wants to wait while I swap out a battery. The floor is a bit scuffed from all the foot traffic, and the glass on the display cases has a few fingerprints on it no matter how much I wipe it down. People in Chinchpokli know me by name now, which is nice. I don’t bother with big advertisements. If I do a good job on a phone, people usually tell their friends and that’s enough to keep the lights on. It’s a simple business, just keeping people connected to their devices every single day.
