We set up our little office here in Bommasandra on Cockburn Road. It's not a huge place, just a couple of desks, some filing cabinets, and a few chairs for people who come to see us. We handle a lot of paperwork and give advice on different things that people find confusing. The phone rings a lot, usually with someone asking about a form they need to fill out or a deadline they are worried about. We keep a stack of files on the corner of the desk that never seems to get smaller. Most of our day is spent reading documents and making sure everything is in order. It's quiet work compared to the shops down the street, but it keeps our brains busy. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the slow afternoons when the sun hits the window just right. Sometimes a client will stay and talk for an hour about their family while we are trying to get their work done. We don't mind too much; it’s part of being in this neighborhood. We don't have a big staff, just us and a lot of folders. The computer is a bit old and slow sometimes, so we have to be patient with it. We just try to help people get their affairs sorted without making it too complicated for them. It’s a simple way to spend the day and we just take it as it comes.
