Padrone

Padrone is over in the Hindustan Complex, specifically number 2 on the 3rd Main Road. This part of the Kssidc Industrial Estate near BVK Iyengar Road is always buzzing with activity. There are trucks constantly loading and unloading nearby. It’s a bit of a gritty area, but that’s the nature of an industrial estate. Our space is mostly functional. We’ve got high ceilings and lots of racks for the stock. It’s not a place you’d come to for a fancy shopping experience. It’s more about the work. We spend our days checking manifests and moving crates. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of machinery and cardboard. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the big shutters open. Most of our neighbors are doing similar things, so there’s a lot of forklift noise and shouting across the way. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the chaos anymore. The floor is concrete and has some cracks, but it holds up. We have a small corner for some chairs and a water cooler. It’s a basic setup for a basic job. We just focus on getting the orders out on time. If you’re looking for us, look for the big blue gates. That’s where we spend most of our hours, just keeping things moving in the estate. We don't overcomplicate things here.
