Pace Furniture

Pace Furniture is located at 18/7 Wilson Garden, right on the edge of Hosur Road. We are directly opposite Industrial Marbles, which is the best way to find us since the traffic moves so fast along this stretch. The building is a bit of a mix, part warehouse and part cramped workspace. There is always the sound of someone moving something heavy or the scraping of metal on the concrete floor. We have large doors at the front to make it easier for the trucks to back in, but it also means a lot of dust from the main road gets inside. I usually spend my time in the small office area towards the back, where I can keep an eye on the floor. It is a busy spot, and we are constantly rearranging the space to make room for new arrivals. The floor is stained in a few places where oil spilled years ago, and we never quite managed to get it all out. It is not a polished showroom by any means; it is a working building where things get moved and sorted. Sometimes the power goes out in the middle of the afternoon, and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. Dealing with the logistics of Wilson Garden is a headache because of the one-way streets, but we have been here long enough to know the shortcuts. (245 words)
