P M General Store

P M General Store is located at number 11 in Taverekere. It’s a small, simple shop on a street that gets quite a lot of foot traffic. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name painted above the door. Inside, you'll find mostly the stuff you need for your kitchen or your bathroom. We have rows of jars filled with candies and biscuits for the neighborhood kids. It’s a one-man show most of the time, so if I’m in the back, you might have to call out to get my attention. I’ve been running this place for years now. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the shelves are a bit mismatched, but it works for us. We don't do home delivery or have a mobile app. People just walk in, ask for what they want, and pay in cash or by scanning the code on the counter. It gets a bit chaotic when the school across the way lets out and twenty kids want chocolates at once. I just take it one person at a time and try not to get flustered. The stock comes in once or twice a week, and I spend the afternoon carrying heavy sacks of rice. It’s physical work and my back hurts sometimes, but it’s a good life. We’re just a small part of the Taverekere area, serving the local families.
