Our office is located at 42/2 RMV 2nd Stage, in the Highlan Park area of Jai Shastri Nagar. It’s a decent neighborhood and we’ve been here for several years now. Orient Marine Lines is the name on our door. We work with shipping and moving things over long distances, often across the sea. It involves a lot of coordinating with ports and checking on various boat schedules. There’s a lot of waiting involved in this line of work. You wait for the ship to arrive, you wait for the customs clearance, and then you wait for the trucks. We spend a lot of time on the phone and on our computers tracking where everything is at any given moment. The team here is small, just a few of us who have been in the shipping industry for a long time. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate values posted on the walls. We just want to make sure the cargo gets where it's supposed to go without too many problems or delays. Sometimes there are issues because of bad weather or other things we can't really control. We just deal with those situations as they come and keep the owners informed. It’s a lot of practical problem-solving. We like the area we are in; it’s relatively quiet compared to the main roads. It gives us the space we need to focus on all the small details that come with moving goods around the world.
