We are located at 8 Hennur Main Road, right inside the M S R Road Kasturi Bai Complex. It’s quite near the Hennur Police Station, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. We work with cane and wood, making all sorts of furniture by hand. It’s a slow process and your hands get pretty rough from all the weaving and pulling. The complex is an older building and it has a bit of character to it. We don't have air conditioning or anything fancy like that. We just leave the doors open to let the air in, even though the Hennur road traffic can be very loud. You can usually see us working on a chair or a table right near the entrance. We use simple tools and a lot of patience. Cane is a natural material so it has its own quirks and doesn't always behave the way you want it to. We don't have a big marketing budget or a glossy website. People usually see our work in someone else's house and then come looking for us. Sometimes we have to wait weeks for the right kind of raw cane to arrive from our suppliers. We just take things as they come and try to finish each piece as best as we can. It’s a traditional kind of job and we like the feeling of the wood.
