Om Telecom is located in Gandhi Nagar, right inside the GNU Market 25. If you know this market, you know how packed it gets, especially on the weekends. We’re surrounded by all sorts of shops, so there’s always a lot of shouting and moving around. Our space is tucked in there, and we mostly handle mobile phones and accessories. The shelves are packed with boxes, and sometimes it's hard to find exactly what you're looking for right away. We spend our time testing batteries and checking screens. The market has a specific smell—a mix of street food, old paper, and exhaust. It’s not a quiet place to work, but it keeps you on your toes. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name above the door. Most of our customers are people who are already in the market for something else and realize they need a new cable or their screen is cracked. We sit on these old wooden stools behind the counter. The fan overhead wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. Dealing with the distributors in Gandhi Nagar is a daily task, always checking if the new stock has arrived or if we need to send something back. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s just how things are at GNU Market. We do what we can with the space we have and try to keep things moving along every day.
