If you spend any time on MG Road, you have probably walked past the Barton Centre many times. We are located on the first floor at number 112. Oes Consultants Pvt Ltd has been based in this building for quite a while now. Barton Centre is one of those classic spots on MG Road that almost everyone in the city knows about. It has got a lot of history, and you can definitely feel that when you walk through the hallways. Our office is not anything fancy, just a functional and practical space where we can sit down and focus on our tasks. Being on the first floor is actually quite nice because we do not have to wait for the elevators, which can be really slow during the lunch hour. The noise from the street is always there in the background—the metro trains passing by, the people on the sidewalk, and the constant traffic. It just becomes like background music after you have been here for a few months. We have a small team, and most of us have been together for years, so we do not really need a lot of strict rules or formal structures. We just know what needs to be done and we get it finished. Sometimes we walk down to the old cafes nearby when we need a break from the computers.
