Novel Furnitures is tucked away in the Central Estate area of Shivaji Nagar. Being near the old Sangeeth Theatre makes it easy for folks to find us, though the streets around here can get pretty tight and crowded. We’ve got all sorts of wooden pieces crammed into the floor space. Tables, chairs, and cupboards are stacked up, sometimes leaving just a narrow path to walk through. It smells like sawdust and varnish most of the time. We spend a lot of our day moving heavy things around so people can see the different designs. It’s not a polished gallery like the ones in the mall. Here, you might see a bit of dust on a shelf or some packing foam on the floor. It’s a working space where we handle things manually. The traffic outside in Shivaji Nagar is always a headache, but inside it’s just us doing our thing. We have been in this spot for a while now and the building has some character to it, which is a polite way of saying it’s old. We don’t mind. It’s where we feel at home. People come in looking for something sturdy, and we show them what we have available. Sometimes we're in the middle of unpacking a fresh delivery, so things might look a bit messy. It’s just how a real furniture shop looks when you’re actually selling stuff every day.
