We are located in Peenya, which everyone knows is the heart of the industrial side of Bengaluru. Nk Sheet Metal Works Pvt Ltd has been here for years, right in the middle of all the workshops and large factories. The sound of metal hitting metal is something you just get used to after a couple of days. We have big shears and bending machines that take up most of the space on the floor. It is a bit cramped sometimes because we have stacks of sheet metal waiting to be worked on, but we know where everything is. The office is just a small cabin with glass windows so we can see what’s happening in the workshop. It’s dusty and there is always a bit of grease on the door handles, but that’s the nature of the business. We don't spend money on marketing or fancy websites because the people who need sheet metal work usually just find us through word of mouth or by seeing our sign in the lane. Peenya traffic is legendary for being terrible, so we try to get our deliveries out early in the morning before the roads get blocked up. It’s a tough environment but the people here are hardworking and we all look out for each other. We take our work seriously but we don't feel the need to act like a corporate giant. We are just here to bend and cut metal.
