Nisha Communications

Our shop, Nisha Communications, is located at 942 in the Kengeri First Main Satellite Town. It’s a pretty easy spot to find once you’re on the main road. Kengeri is a bit far out from the city center, but it’s a good community. We see a lot of students from the nearby colleges coming in to get their phones fixed or to buy a new screen protector. The shop gets quite dusty because of all the construction happening nearby. I spend a lot of time sweeping the floor. We have a glass display that holds a few different models of phones. It’s nothing like the big malls. It’s just a local place. Sometimes I bring my lunch from home and eat at the counter. If a customer comes in, I just put it aside. We’ve been here for a while, so we know most of the people who walk past every day. There’s a lot of traffic on the First Main, so it can be quite noisy. I usually have a small radio playing in the background to drown out the horns. We don't do anything fancy, just standard mobile services and accessories. It's a living. We try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. It’s a small operation but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
