Nirmala Wood Furniture Work

Our workshop is at 291/A on Aarey Road in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. It's usually pretty dusty inside because of all the sawing and sanding we do. Wood is mostly what we work with to make things for people's homes, like cabinets or tables. This isn't a big factory, just a local shop where we spend most of our hours. Sawdust usually covers my hands by noon. Starting this place was a choice because working with our hands felt better than sitting in an office all day. The neighbors don't seem to mind the noise too much, at least I hope so. Stacks of timber are out back and a few workbenches that have seen better days sit inside. Every piece of wood is different, so the grain never looks the same until you start finishing it. A showroom isn't something we have here. Usually, people just come by with a sketch or an idea of what they need for their kitchen or bedroom. We talk it over and see what can be done. Getting things right takes time, and rushing isn't good because that’s when mistakes happen. Sometimes a certain type of polish runs out and we have to wait for the supplier to come by Aarey Road. It’s a small operation with just a few of us making things that are meant to last in someone's house. We just do the work and hope people like the results.
